EMB supports new London Market advisory firm

7 November 2008  - EMB Consultancy LLP is supporting the formation of Optex Group, a new advisory firm aimed at certain insurers and brokers.

The new venture will be chaired by former Lloyd’s Market Council member Michael Wade. The broker and FSA licensed advisory firm Paterson Martin Ltd will become Optex Group and its co-founder, Andrew Martin, remains on the Board.  Jonathan Broughton and Paul Murray, both Directors of EMB Consultancy LLP, join Michael and Andrew on the Board of Optex.

The new company’s aim is to enable medium-sized intermediaries to compete in an increasingly polarised broker market by offering a “full service broking model”, including cutting-edge actuarial and modelling advice. 

Optex Group, authorised by the FSA, will also provide specialist reinsurance asset management and analysis for investors in the sector.

Paul Murray noted: “This new group has experience and capability to offer insurers and reinsurers innovative means of structuring, pricing and covering risk.”
