Julian Beardsworth – Director

Julian joined EMB in 2008 having spent the previous 20 years working in general insurance, including three years as Head of International General Insurance for Aviva and finally as Director of Underwriting for Norwich Union, UK.   

 

Julian’s experience has been largely in the analysis, pricing and underwriting of personal lines in the UK but also has extensive track record with commercial lines and reinsurance and has experience of working successfully with general insurance businesses across the world.  He was closely involved in Norwich Union’s “Pay as You Drive” research project and the creation of a UK-wide digital flood map. His particular interests include the changing dynamics of the insurance market, the statistical analysis of risk and its commercial application and pricing innovation and margin management.  He is a Chartered Insurer.
